The beginning of last month, my girls and I went away for a city break in Paris. I have been there a couple of times before but it was a different experience this time. We had so much fun and saw most of Paris in two days. From Musée d’Orsay to Notre Dame to the Louvre-we went everywhere. I really did not think it was possible but hey we did it! Of course we visited Eiffel Tower- how can you not? We went during the day, otherwise we would have been sandwiched with couples during the night. Not that we do not love romance, we were on a girls holiday. We also went to Palais Garnier, I was in awe with how beautiful the place was. The detail in some of the ornaments and panelling was absolutely breathtaking. Hôtel de Ville was one of my favourites. There was a Nelson Mandela exhibition running at the time, it was very emotional and inspiring. The great things that Mandela has done for South Africa and the world will always be remembered.
So if you are a Keeping up with the Kardashians fan, you will know on Kourtney and Kim take Miami the Kardashians visited Pont Des Arts. Which is also known as love padlock bridge. We tried finding their padlocks- Lol it was a fail. We even forgot where we put ours after a while. There are millions and millions of padlocks on there so it will be extremely difficult to find a padlock that you wish to see. Another place we went to was the Arc de Triomphe. We climbed the 200+ steps, it was ever so tiring. We had to have a little rest once we got to the top before we walked around and took the scenery in.
I had so much fun and I will definitely do something again like this soon.

I went to Cambridge in June for a girls’ weekend catching up with my girlfriends. I have visited Cambridge before and I had a chance last time to do punting. However this time, we played tourists-walked around town and took the sightseeing bus around the city. I love Cambridge, there is so much history to the place. I have a few pictures to share with you.

Last week my girlfriend Marina and I took a day trip to Bath. We originally wanted to go to Brussels but it did not work out. After this trip I have realised you do not always need to go abroad to have fun. There is so much to do here at home. So many of us do not take advantage of the wonderful places in England to visit. I am one of them. The only let down I guess is the forever changing British weather *sighs*.
So my friend and I acted like tourists-you know the annoying ones and they ask you to take so many photos. That was us! One person even lied and said he did not know how to take pictures. Then we caught him taking pictures of his friends ha.
We had so much fun, we took the city and skyline bus tours of the city. There was a hilarious guide on the bus who gave us an in depth history of the city. He was so excited to tell us the city was established by the Romans, transformed by the Georgian era and how it is now. He was also eager to tell us about Jane Austen and that her books were heavily influenced by the city. Apparently she did not like Bath at all but everyone there loves her. Wherever you turn it is- Jane Austen, Jane Austen and Jane Austen. What I found really interesting was that to have planning permission in Bath, buildings must be of Bath Stone. This is because they want Bath to keep its distinctive appearance. I fell in love with the Georgian architecture of the city, there is something so glamorous and sophisticated about it. I am already thinking this could be the perfect retirement place. I know what you are thinking, yes I am no where near that stage of life yet but it does not hurt to think of the future.
We also visited the Roman Baths, which was fascinating. The Romans were really into their spas and bathing in the hot springs. I think it was mentioned Bath is the only place in the U.K that has hot springs. After all the fun, we ended the day with yummy frozen yoghurt.
